Early morning transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board the 12040 Shatabdi Express departing at 06:00 hrs. Enjoy breakfast served onboard while witnessing the landscape shift from urban plains to the lush Terai region.
Arrive at Kathgodam by 11:40 hrs and begin a picturesque mountain drive to Pangot, a peaceful birding village nestled deep within the Naina Devi Himalayan Bird Conservation Reserve. After check-in and lunch, participate in an ice-breaking and introduction session to understand the unique ecology, forests and birdlife of the Kumaon Himalayas.

Start early for another short birding trail, exploring forest edges that come alive with morning bird movement. After breakfast, drive towards Corbett National Park, India’s oldest national park named after the legendary conservationist Jim Corbett, established in 1936 as Hailey National Park.
En-route visit Jim Corbett’s heritage bungalow at Kaladhungi, which preserves his legacy as a hunter-turned-conservationist and an author whose efforts helped protect India’s tiger population.
Lunch on arrival at Corbett followed by an informative orientation session about the Terai ecosystem, riverine forests and wildlife diversity.

Today’s open-jeep safaris take you into the heart of Corbett Tiger Reserve, often regarded as one of India’s most beautiful forests with diverse habitats ranging from sal forests to grasslands and Ramganga river belts. Keep an eye out for Tiger, Asian Elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Barking Deer, Yellow-throated Marten and an incredible raptor population including Changeable Hawk-Eagle and Crested Serpent Eagle.
Return for breakfast and participate in a hands-on learning session on interpreting tracks & signs, field note documentation and wildlife behavior analysis, skills used by researchers and forest guides.
